Turning 30 changed the way I look at skincare, which I use to feel optional and feel cringe thinking about my life as compared to my 20s. In my 30s I realized that good skin is not about buying expensive or cheap products, it is about consistent selfcare routine and self-love for my skin.
In my early 20s, just like other girl who crossed teenage, my focus and approach was materialist, and now I laugh hard remembering that time. As soon as I approached my 30s, I changed my focused-on habits that actually support skin health.

1. Use gentle and mild facewash suiting your skin type in morning and night

One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that following facewash that suit your skin type is the key for good skincare routine.
Being sensitive oily skin, I cannot randomly use that is harsh or act as barrier for my glowing face, so I always choose a gentle mild facewash that suits my skin type.
I wash my face atleast twice a day, helping in remove oil, dirt, pollution, and making my tired face look happy. If you are starting a daily skincare routine at home, this should be your first habit to start.
2. Apply SPF 30+ or SPF 50+ sunscreen without negotiating

Due to depletion of ozone layer sun UV rays are too harsh for skin, which make skin rashes to occur soon. That is why sunscreen has become a non- negotiable step in my skincare routine for summer, rainy, autumn, winter, and spring: all 5 seasons based on harshness of sun.
I use SPF 30+ or SPF 50+ sunscreen every single day (if required 2 times when sun is too harsh for skin), even if I am at home or going out, so skipping sunscreen is not a option among all the selfcare tips.
3. Keep skin nourished using hydrated moisturizer

As we grow older and get busy in our daily routine life, our skin gradually loses moisture, and starts to get drier. Hydrated skin naturally look healthier and more radiant.
A good moisturizer with proper hydration is as important as staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water and having healthy lifestyle rather than having late night outs.
With a hydrated moisturizer one can maintain the skin barrier, prevent dryness, avoid irritations and keep skin soft and plumy.
4. Apply facemask, undereye mask every 15 days atleast

As I stepped in my 30s, I realized skin start to lose its natural collagen, elasticity, and moisture. Therefore, at least once in every 15 days or include in weekly routine for skin, I apply a hydrating face mask and under eye mask. This helps in deeply nourishment, remove impurities, and improve skin texture.
This small step makes my selfcare routine more relaxing, pampering, remove dullness and intentional.
5. Once a month follow facial routine

Once a month, I follow a simple facial routine to deeply cleanse and repair my skin. I mostly do my facial routine at home which is budget friendly option and occasionally visit a professional if I feel my skin needs extra care.
This routine usually includes: cleaning, scrubbing, face massage, de-tan, face mask and moisturize
This monthly skincare routine helps remove dead skin cell, boost circulation, restore glow, and feel skin relaxation.
6. Get enough sleep to let skin repair itself

Getting 7-8 hours quality sleep every night is the most ignorance thing we do in our daily life. Whenever I compromise on sleep, it shows immediately dull skin, dark circles and tired day.
A good night rest supports every other skincare routine, body automatically goes into repair, and regeneration mode, the key to beauty treatment is rest.
7. Staying Happy and Cheerful is key to Happy skin

Over time, I have realized that stress, anxiety, and daily lifestyle directly show on the face in form of dullness, breakouts, or tired skin. That is why staying happy and cheerful is my important selfcare routine and secret to happy skin.
